Picked up some books at the public library today

Last Child in The Woods                                 by, Richard Louv
Learn To Sew                                                  by, Allison Reid
The Sibley Guide to Trees                                by, David Allen Sibley
Small is Possible                                               by, Lyle Estill
Why There's Antifreeze in your Toothpaste     by, Simon Quellen Field

The antifreeze book looks interesting.
It is about the chemistry of household ingredients.
It start out learning structural formulas.
"I wont drink another diet soda again!" my father announced this morning.
"On TV they are saying it will give you a heart attack!"
I juiced half a bag of carrots for him which he enjoyed with delight.
Hours later he was mindlessly sucking on a mocha frappachino.
So many people like the idea of healthy living.
Longevity
But temptations for quick chemical stimulants create resistance.
I once heard someone say
"I just need to smoke, drink, fry bacon, and fuck to be happy,"

Made some pesto

1    cup fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup spinach
1    cup toasted walnuts
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/4 cup olive oil
3 Tbs Braggs
2 Tbs lemon juice
2 cloves crushed garlic
salt and pepper as desired

Mix everything in a food processor or use a mortar and pestle
Add more oil if needed
